Nebraska Accepted in Competition at Cannes Film Festival

Alexander Payne’s black-and-white film, produced by Paramount Pictures, is scheduled to be released later this year around Thanksgiving, but next week the Cannes Film Festival will screen the film, starring Bruce Dern, Will Forte, and Stacy Keach. Stacy to play Skipper in Disney’s ‘Planes’

The most noteworthy bit of casting involves these first two planes, Bravo and Echo. They’ll be voiced by Anthony Edwards and Val Kilmer, triggering the Top Gun reunion parents have been waiting for.

After that, meet Skipper (Stacy Keach), Ripslinger (Roger Craig Smith) and Bulldog (John Cleese), faces that are sure to be familiar once families take a ride on Planes in August.

Stacy Keach in mood for ‘Sin’

Stacy Keach has signed to portray a chief villain in “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For,” co-directed by Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller from Miller’s screenplay.

Keach will play mob boss Wallenquist, described by Miller as “the one man who can’t be redeemed in Sin City. He is pure evil.” The film will be released domestically by Dimension on Oct. 4.

Cast includes Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson, Josh Brolin, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Dennis Haysbert. Production is under way at Rodriguez’s Troublemaker Studios in Austin, Texas.

Keach recently completed filming Alexander Payne’s “Nebraska.”
